Allie Eklund Reveals 'Red Flags' for Steven McBee Jr. Romance

“Looking back, it's obvious that – our first couple, on paper and in interviews, we were a good match, so it made sense,” Eklund, 29, told Self. “Then when I, you know, immersed myself in being with him personally and the reality of things, I suddenly, I realized after a few months that … what he was saying and what he was doing were not consistent,” he continued. “So there were a few things that started to happen that I knew, yeah, started to make me question and raise those concerns and flags that I've been dealing with privately. And you know, I lean on my inner circle for support.”
Eklund added, “I was definitely starting to question some of the behavior, some of the things that were being said. You know, the way I was being treated offstage. Like, there were things that I was questioning. That being said, there were qualities that I really liked and admired about him. But I started to see things that went beyond those good qualities, for sure.”
Fans watched Eklund's previous relationship with McBee Jr., 33, star in season 3 of the hit TV show. The McBee Dynasty: Rea American Cowboyswhich premiered back in June. (The two split in April, after the Stagecoach feud played out publicly on social media in which McBee Jr. accused Eklund of cheating on him. Eklund denied the allegations and McBee Jr. eventually apologized for his comments before revealing he would seek treatment.)

“I got all his stuff back, but there's no communication,” McBee Jr. said. specifically Us In June, he was standing with his ex following their breakup. “There are intense conversations going on throughout this season. I don't know exactly what's going to play out. Obviously, we haven't watched the episodes yet, so we're watching it in real time as viewers. But I know from filming, there are intense conversations about the wedding, the wedding. [and] long-term ability there. “
When asked if she felt “closed” from her previous relationship now that some time had passed, Eklund admitted that, for her, there was nothing more “to talk about” between them.
“Closure is a very interesting word. His actions showed me exactly how he felt about me and what he said to me, you know, that was enough closure,” he said. Us. “There is nothing more to say. The way you treated me and what you said to me, was just the cherry on top. And there were situations before this when he was trying to make amends without closed doors that his family was aware of. I actually broke up with him during the filming in private. You know, I did it kindly. He added, “So, when I saw that it was a pattern and it was not serious, this was the end of the cake for me. And it was. There is no conversation to be had, there is no closure left. Like, that is enough closure for me. And when he asked me to have a conversation, a closing conversation, I denied it because there are times when your actions cannot do that and your words. You know, I wish him well but far away.”
