Evans, 33, sparked a heated online debate on Saturday, July 4, after posting a video showing the dancer preparing for the wedding of Swift, 36, and Kelce (along with husband TJ Shaw) the night before at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

The magical reveal, set to Swift's “Wildest Dreams (Taylor's Version),” was quickly overshadowed by negative comments after many critics said Evans wore a white dress – a color reserved for the bride.
“Wayyyyy too close to white for a wedding yikes,” one user responded in the comments section, referencing Evans' strapless ball gown with a matching neck drape.

A different user commented, “White at a wedding? Tasteless.”
Although the dress appears to be off-white in color based on the shiny fabric and light, Evans' husband stood up to defend his partner and explain her fashion.
“DRESS IS PINK CHAMPAGNE is the color of everyone who doesn't understand light 😂,” he replied in the comment section.

Evans — Swift's former record-breaking dancer The Eras Tour from April 2023 to December 2024 – she wore her champagne pink dress with a matching clutch and bright yellow heels. Shaw, meanwhile, wore a bright tuxedo suit, black shoes and a black bowtie.
In the video, Shaw planted a kiss on Evans' shoulder as they posed for the camera before heading to MSG to celebrate the happy couple. (Kelce, 36, and Swift tied the knot on Friday, July 3, with about 1,000 friends, family, celebrities and professional athletes on the guest list.)
