As an avid traveller, I've been to Greek, Italian and Spanish beaches, but this year I'm aiming for the British coast – especially Cornwall. My packing list looks a little different from my previous summer vacations in Europe. Rather than party-ready ensembles, I pack breezy linen sets, luxe dresses and lightweight sweaters in my suitcase, the same way I packed Cape Cod.

Every beach has a different uniform, so if you're heading to a UK beach – or just want to look as you are – you'll want to shop this curated list of everything I'll be wearing. With these picks, you'll be mistaken for a local in one of Britain's greatest gems, and make everyone admire your easy summer style.

Clothes

1. Light blue: The waters of Cornwall are crystal clear and disappear into the blue horizon. I plan to match the beach with a flowy maxi dress. Contrasting details remind me of waves.

2. Keep it Simple: Every beach trip requires a clean white dress (I'm not making any rules!). This unusual choice, with its pleated skirt, is perfect for a walk by the water.

3. Polka Dot Dreams: Navy and white are classic nautical colors, but instead of choosing nautical stripes, the hues are getting a fashion upgrade. with Beach Riot linen and cotton polka dot maxi.

4. Good Pattern: Leaning on ocean vibes, this striped dress adorned with beachy motifs – such as sea chairs, lobsters and clams – is simply too good to pack.

5. One more thing: This 100% linen dress is so flattering and light, I admit I bought it in four colors, including navy, moonstone blue, gingham and olive.

6. Privacy and Other: I originally bought the Quince linen shirt dress to wear as a cover up, but I find myself using it for more. It's so good that I don't know what to throw away when I finish taking a shower.

18. Double Trouble: Be ready for any weather – warm or cold – with this two-in-one cable knit sweater. It comes with a spaghetti strap tank and a shirt decorated with roses.
