Days of Our Lives: Joy Tricked DNA Results – Alex Isn't the Father in Shocking Gold-Digger Twist!

Days of Our Lives brings Joy Wesley (AlexAnn Hopkins) telling the father of her child, Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson), a big old insurance story. So, was that legal? But it's just the beginning of Joy digging her nails into Alex who has family money or whatever The Titan are you struggling now?

Before we get into the red tape about the Joy show with Kelsey and what she's done since then, let me set the scene.

Days of Our Lives: The Story of Insurance and Suspicious Time

So, recently, Alex had a big scare when Joy called him in a panic University Hospital and hung up the phone without waiting for the information and just took it out of his apartment. And that left his wife Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) wondering what was going on and Alex didn't write any follow-up information.

And that left Stephanie worried. And when her mother Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) stopped by with the cookies, Stephanie told her about it. So, Kayla then called the hospital, found out that there was no emergency, and told Stephanie, who was suspicious. But I feel Kayla violated HIPAA with that call. I mean, that was wrong.

Meanwhile, Alex rushed to the hospital, fearing that little Kelsey was seriously ill or injured. And the mother of his child Joy explained to him that it was not an emergency, just a routine visit for vaccinations. But the reason he called Alex in a panic was money. So, Joy was upset that she owed money for that visit as well as the previous one. And she told Alex in New York, her father is a doctor, so it sounds like she might be at work. But in Salem, Joy is off the grid. His insurance did not cover it. So he had to pay out of pocket.

And Alex was relieved that it was a small thing. She thought it was a medical emergency for little Kelsey. And of course Alex was upset that he felt like he was misled into thinking it was a medical emergency. And to be fair, he didn't say that. And Njabulo reminded Alex that he hung up his phone before he explained exactly what was going on. So, he promised Joy that he would pay the debt. And once Kelsey's birth certificate was amended to include Alex's name on it, she enrolled Kelsey in her insurance plan.

And many fans are seeing red flags throughout Alex and Joy's arrangement. Actually, ever since he appeared, there have been questions. And of course, Jeremy Horton (Michael Roark) is the one who told him to come to town. And since Joy and Kelsey arrived, I've seen comments on social media that many fans think Joy wants a meal ticket for her and Kelsey. And we know very well that his mother Nancy and father Craig were paying him. They took care of Joy and Kelsey's every need while she was living in New York. So far, Joy hasn't asked Alex for a dime.

And when Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier) asks Joy if she wanted a payday, she assures him that's not why she came. But honestly, that's what any gold digger would say, right? First, it was insurance, and the next thing would be Joy complaining to Alex about the state of her house. Currently, Joy and Kelsey have a room above the Brady Pub, but that is one room for one mother and child. Not much space. And as Kelsey grows, that will be a strong place for her and her mother Joy.

Joy Cheating On Alex On Dates?

So, we saw Joy telling Alex that it's crowded above the bar and not the best place for a baby who is quickly turning into a toddler. And Joy might be sneaky and suggest that her mom's place back in New York has plenty of space. And of course, that would send Alex into a panic about losing daily access to Kelsey. Therefore, he might get Joy an apartment close to his own. Or Alex might even suggest the Kiriakis mansion as a better place for him and Joy since there's a ton of space there. I mean, the dream residence of a gold digger's mansion, right?

Also, when Alex suggests staying in her building, Joy might remind him that he can't be around a happy Stephanie. And this week it continues Days of Our LivesAlex's wife made a strong decision. So, he might start getting self-defense lessons, karate lessons from Tate Black (Leo Howard). And Joy might say to Alex that she's worried Stephanie might physically attack her because of this.

You can see on social media, fans think that Joy is not just looking for a payday, but she wants Alex for herself. And a group of fans believe that Alex isn't even Kelsey's father. So, the DNA test said that Kelsey is Joy and Alex's child. However, Joy may have had help fixing it.

After all, her father, Craig Wesley (Kevin Spirtas) is a doctor, so he may have used his medical expertise to get help cheating on the test. And there's always Jeremy who might have helped. He is the one who hatches a plot to bring happiness to Salem to try to separate Alex and Stephanie. So Jeremy may have figured out how to change the DNA results.

There are even some fans who think Joy and Jeremy might be Kelsey's parents. If you remember, Joy told Stephanie and Alex that she is not pregnant. Then he returned to New York. That was March 2025. She could have met Jeremy and gotten pregnant right away. We hear Nancy Wesley (Patrika Darbo) teaching Joy about her loose lifestyle.

Joy didn't mind nearly bumping into Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) on her first day in Salem. Therefore, it is not easy to imagine that he will leave her in Salem, maybe upset with Alex, and she may have met Jeremy, her father, Mike Horton (Roark Critchlow), who was having an affair with her mother, Nancy. It's not that far.

Days of Our Lives: Happiness May Not Be Sure of Kelsey's Return

However, we know that Joy was pregnant before leaving Salem and lied to Alex and Stephanie. But she could miscarry and meet Jeremy and get pregnant. I mean, this Days where they do the awakening of people and the mocking of demons. But it seems Alex got Joy pregnant as she was frustrated that Stephanie wasn't ready to be a mother and probably never will be.

But then again, there's a chance that Joy met someone else in Salem at the same time she met Alex. According to Nancy, her daughter is behaving badly. So, Joy may not know who the real father is and decided to cheat on the test just in case it's not Alex. His mother Nancy can be a con artist and deceiver. So Joy may be the same way and came faithfully from her mother.

There is also the possibility that Johnny is the father. I mean, it looked like Joy and Johnny did the deed, but then they both stopped before they went all the way. But maybe they didn't stop and Joy agreed to lie in Johnny's plea to save her marriage.

Possible Consequences and Medical Crisis in DOOL

Finally, Joy may be trying to get that Kiriakis money whether Alex is Kelsey's father or not. And it seems like the most likely outcome is that Joy got pregnant by Alex. But anything is possible. It's soap. Baby switching, baby DNA, all of that is everyday stuff.

And in a summer promo, baby Kelsey seems to be having some sort of horror treatment. And events like this when children have medical problems often lead to amazing results. You know, there is a blood test that can show that Alex is not the father.

Maybe there is a blood type or DNA problem. Another outcome could be that a medical crisis brings Joy and Alex together and pushes Stephanie aside as Alex and Joy care for their daughter. So, we'll see how it goes.
