Assistant Principal Promised To Buy Alcohol For Students For Sex

An assistant principal in Texas has been arrested after allegedly buying alcohol and underwear for a student to have sex with.

The Wylie Police Department said that Zachary Neu was arrested on Thursday, June 4, after police discovered that he had sent inappropriate messages to a former student who had just graduated, according to a statement posted on the department's Facebook page.

“The investigation revealed that during their conversation, Neu promised to buy alcohol for the young child and send money for underwear to have sex with,” said the Department.

A search warrant was executed on Neu's personal devices, and investigators have identified a second victim.

Neu, 32, was working as an administrator at Wylie East High School in north Texas at the time of the incident. He was immediately expelled from school after his arrest.

“Teachers have management positions and are entrusted with a lot of responsibility,” said the Superintendent of Wylie Private School. Kim Spicer he said in a letter he wrote to his parents following his arrest, which was published by the Wylie News.

He continued, “As adults, they are expected to use good judgment and understand that they are responsible for maintaining proper boundaries and relationships with students at all times.”

“At no time should a district employee communicate privately with a student through social media or other illegal channels,” Spicer added.

Spicer also thanked the victim and his family for reporting their concerns about Neu to law enforcement. “Speaking up when something is wrong takes courage, and their actions allow this issue to be investigated quickly,” she said.

Neu was hired at the school in 2017 as a science teacher. He was promoted to dean of students in July 2024 before becoming assistant principal in January, according to the school district.

The defendant was charged with prostitution of a person under the age of 18 and improper relationship between a teacher and a student. Neu remains in custody as of Friday, June 5.

It is not yet clear whether he pleaded guilty or retained a lawyer after his arrest. The Wylie Police Department did not immediately respond Us Weeklyrequest for comment on the case.

The Wylie Police Department thanked Wylie ISD in a press release for their “cooperation during this investigation as the safety of our students is a top priority.”
