Raising Bates alum Warden Bates again Kaybrie Patterson they tied the knot.

In a joint Instagram post on Thursday, May 28, the couple announced that they are officially married just two months after dating on social media in March.

The couple announced their engagement on May 2, and their wedding took place a few days later on May 5.

Patterson, 19, explained in a blog post Thursday that she and Bates, 22, were forced to postpone their wedding, which had been planned for September, so that her late father could attend the nuptials before he died of Stage IV colon cancer.

“I am learning that even in the midst of sorrow there can be joy.” I don't think I ever really understood that until recently.

Patterson shared that her father was diagnosed with the disease three years ago and fought to live until treatment was “no longer an option.”

“And yet, in the midst of all that heartbreak, one of the happiest moments of my life happened. I got engaged to the love of my life, and we started planning our big wedding this September,” he wrote.

Patterson continued, “As my father continued to deteriorate and we faced the reality of hospice care, I was faced with something I had never imagined.

Patterson shared her gratitude that she was able to include her father in his special day before his death, creating a “beautiful” memory that will last a lifetime.

“On May 5, my dad walked me down the aisle. It was simple, emotional and beautiful in a way that I will spend the rest of my life trying to find words for,” she wrote. “The next day he did not respond, and after three days he went home to be with the Lord.”

Patterson added that she and Bates plan to have a big wedding celebration in September, knowing her father will be looking down on them.

Bates and Patterson announced their engagement on May 2 by sharing photos of their joint proposal via Instagram. The post was captioned, “Simple yes 🤍💍.”

Patterson shared several photos of the romantic moment on her Instagram stories, writing, “I can't wait to be your wife. I love you more than words.”

Warden is one of 19 children Raising Bates a couple Gil again Kelly Jo Bates.

After their son's engagement, the proud parents wrote on Instagram, “We are so excited to see the smile he brought them, and we have all already fallen in love with Kaybrie's sweet, fun, and energetic personality! We couldn't be more blessed!”
