Days of Our Lives: Marlena Hypnotizes Cat – Explosive Hidden Memories Revealed!

Days of Our Lives reveals that Cat Green (AnnaLynne McCord) has been haunted by secrets from her past coming back to bite her. Therefore, he may go to see Dr. Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) has a hypnosis session to remember what she forgot about her time in Italy with EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel).

So, we're going to talk about whether Cat will be put to sleep by Marlena and if so, what shocking memories will be revealed? EJ wants to know what happened between them in Italy.

Cat Considers Being Put to Sleep on Days of Our Lives

So, Kati was really worried about what EJ might remember in the Italian hospital. And he was relieved when Marlena's hypnosis didn't respond. EJ then tells Cat that he was so unconscious at the time that Marlena thinks his mind wasn't storing memories.

So, EJ told Cat that he thought he would have an easier time retrieving memories under hypnosis. And of course when EJ asked right away, Kati agreed to leave and let Marlena put her to bed. But will the Cat follow? Will you really do it? And if he does, will he tell EJ what memories are revealed?

Cat, as you know, is a financial analyst. He works for Shane Donovan (Charles Shaughnessy) at the ISA. He has been looking into EJ's shady dealings with the hospital and the lab. Cat was working with the FBI guy Rafe Hernandez (Galen Herring), but they didn't find much evidence against EJ, and the main thing they have right now is what everyone knows, that Lexie Carver (Nikki Crawford) was a pod person, and she came back from the dead. They know that Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) was conspiring with EJ, but they can't find Rolf to arrest him.

And another crime they have against him is that he left Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) and Jeremy Horton (Michael Roark) in the hands of the evil Owen Kent (Wes Ramsey). And nothing can tie EJ to Stephanie and Jeremy's kidnapping. They never saw him. And Owen was clear in his police testimony that he worked for Dr. Rolf and never saw EJ. Everything is true.

So, at this point, I don't even know what Rafe, Cat and Shane think they're going to accomplish because Gwen Rizczech (Emily O'Brien) was funding the secret lab. It wasn't like EJ was stealing money to pay. And the hospital board and the FDA have some questions about him. But with Dr. Rolf MIA, I bet EJ will make it.

And from now on, he's doing a miracle for Lexie. He didn't hurt anyone they knew. So, I feel like this ISA thing is going nowhere. But EJ and Cat might be going somewhere, especially if EJ gets his way because there is a connection between Cat and EJ that none of them know about.

History of EJ and the cat in Italy

Cat and EJ were close during their recovery in Italy, but they don't remember much beyond Cat reading an old love story. Accommodations in Wuthering Heights of ej. And this has been going on faithfully for a very long time. I think we can all agree on that. EJ and Cat independently bought copies of the Accommodations in Wuthering Heights then it started to appear.

Do you remember when it was? I agree. 32 weeks ago, eight months. Almost enough time to raise everyone. I want to know what happened between EJ and Cat on Days of Our Lives. Of course. But I'm curious why the writers think spending two-thirds of the year on this slow plot is a good use of our time. So, this thing with EJ and Cat, is more than a little hot. It's almost a spark.

Days of Our Lives: EJ's Act of Kindness

If you remember, after EJ was shot by Rachel Black (Loreli Olivia Mote), he woke up and immediately asked for a charity auction at the hospital to take Cat on a certain date. Then later, EJ gave it to Chad DiMera (Connor Floyd), who really liked him. So, Kati and EJ's collaboration was built from there.

And he hired Cat and continued to confide in her about personal and work matters, even though EJ kept her in the dark about the secret lab. And he was good to Cat. He even offered his fallen brother, Mark Green (Jonah Robinson) a job in his lab. All the while, Cat has been betraying his trust every time, lying to EJ and stalking, trying to bring him down.

At that time, the cat has this attraction, this pull towards him and feels it. And if she hadn't pulled that scam on Chad and gotten involved with him, I think Cat might have been more attracted to EJ. But from now on, Cat says she doesn't remember much about the hospital in Italy.

He was recovering from that terrible car accident. And you have some memories. He remembers, for example, seeing Sami Brady (Allison Sweeney) when she visited EJ. Also, when Cat and Sami ran into each other, they both noticed the familiarity, but there wasn't an overly strong reaction between Cat and Sami other than some kind of, “Hey, do I know you?” kind of thing.

The story of EJ & Cat is like Wuthering Heights on DOOL

Fast forward to February 2026, EJ has Cat read from a book to try to reawaken his memory of the clinic and the connection EJ feels to Cat. So, it is an interesting type that they have chosen Accommodations in Wuthering Heights because the story of EJ and Cat is almost like it in that there is this strong and destructive attraction. There is a hidden past. There are complex family dynamics.

But don't judge EJ and Cat just yet Accommodations in Wuthering Heights movie if you've seen it. It was very sexy, but it didn't have much to do with the main plot of the books. They took the characters, the setting, and part of the book and basically made a crappy movie that almost completely ignored the source material.

What Can a Cat Remember Under Hypnosis?

So, the one part from the original book that EJ and Cat both remember may hold clues about their past connection. And it was this quote, “Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same. If everything else perished and he remained, I must continue to exist. And if everything else remained and he destroyed, the universe would turn into a powerful stranger.” It's really heavy stuff. Kind of exciting, very loving, deep soul connection.

So, if Marlena puts him to bed, Kati might remember that she might have been checking on EJ even then, especially if she was put in that particular hospital by the ISA for that reason. And whatever he found, he couldn't tell them because he had forgotten. Therefore, this book may also be some kind of mind control tool as Stefano did when he used it The Arabian Nights.

So, what I'm wondering is, will Cat let Marlena hypnotize her or will she just schedule the appointment and tell EJ she was hypnotized knowing Marlena can't tell her either way because of doctor-patient confidentiality? Or will Cat let Marlena put her to sleep and recover some really shocking memories, but then lie and tell EJ that the hypnosis failed. Or maybe Cat will lie and do something and say the memories have been brought back. Because again, Marlena can't say anything. So, you know, a cat can just roll the dice and do what it wants.

Days of Our Lives: A Cat in Search of Her Memories

I think he's going to let Marlena put him to sleep so the cat can get any memories from the hospital. And I suspect that Marlena will help him recover from the traumatic memories and since she has the information in hand, Cat can decide what to do.

He can make a fully informed decision. So, the question is maybe she'll remember that she fell for EJ and if so she'll tell him, you know, when they're recovering together. Maybe they are building something emotionally. Or maybe the cat finds something creepy about Sami. Maybe she was sneaking off to meet her fiancé, Dante Vitali. Hopefully we will find out soon and not in another 32 weeks.
