If you're signed up to a major broadcaster, May will be a great month for movie and TV fans.
It's also worth mentioning that this month marks the first airing of the blockbuster movies that hit theaters earlier this year.
Both of those films are among Watch Us' selection of five new movies and TV shows you need to watch in May 2026.
Some of our picks include a new adaptation of a classic novel, the return of an action hero and the closest thing we'll get to live action. Spider Man TV show.
'Wuthering Heights' (2026)

The latest version of the Accommodations in Wuthering Heights it wasn't exactly a completely faithful adaptation Emily Bronte'an enduring novel, but no one can argue that it was not one of the most successful films of 2026. Margot Robbie leads the cast as Catherine Earnshaw, while Frankenstein again Euphoria Get out Jacob Elordi Movie title as Heathcliff.
When they were children, Heathcliff was taken by Catherine's father to live with them at Wuthering Heights. Years later, Catherine looks to secure the family's future by falling in love with wealthy Edgar Linton (Shazad Latif). Unfortunately for Heathcliff, he has fallen deeply in love with Catherine, who has many of the same feelings. But it's not enough to stop her from pursuing marriage with Edgar.
Accommodations in Wuthering Heights airs on HBO Max.
'Lord of the Flies' (2026)
William Goldinga classic novel Lord of the Flies had never been adapted for television before Netflix's upcoming four-episode series. This story is still haunting more than 70 years after it was first published. The show maintains the original 1950s setting, as a group of young boys survive a plane crash and find themselves stranded on a desert island without any adult supervision.
Ralph (Winston Sawyers) tries to be the leader the boys need to get past the island long enough to be rescued. Her partner, Jack (Lox Pratt), has other ideas, and leads his followers down a very dark path. Before long, Jack's team becomes ruthless and unfocused, and they don't like being rescued at all. When Ralph and his friends are against them, Jack's gang isn't above resorting to murder to get their way.
Lord of the Flies will air on Netflix on May 4.
'Send Help' (2026)
There may be a version of Send Help that would be a romantic adventure like Linda Liddle (Rachel McAdams) and his incredibly rude boss, Bradley Preston (Dylan O'Brien), fell in love while stranded together on a remote island after surviving a plane crash. But this is not the movie. Linda has absolutely no desire to date Bradley after the way he treated him at work.
Bradley used to have all the power in the relationship where Linda's career and career prospects were in his hands. Now, the shoe is on the other foot, and Linda holds all the cards. And he's more than happy to torture Bradley knowing that his survival depends entirely on him. That kind of power quickly goes to his head, and this survival thriller gets darker from there.
Send Help will air on Hulu on May 7.
'Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan: Ghost Wars' (2026)
John Krasinski earned his trust as an action star by composing Prime Video's Jack Ryan a series of four seasons. Now, Krasinski is reprising his role again for Prime Video's first film, Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan: Ghost War. Jack thought his field days were behind him, but he's been recruited for a new mission by his old partner, Mike November (Michael Kelly) and James Greer (Wendell Pierce).
A rogue black ops group has hatched a terrifying conspiracy that could lead to mass casualties. To stop it, Jack's team needs to work with MI6 officer Emma Marlowe (Sienna Miller) to find and reduce their enemies. And they have a limited amount of time before it's too late.
Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan: Ghost War will air on Prime Video on May 20.
'Spider-Noir' (2026)
Nicolas Cage he never found stardom on his own Superman movie, but he'll be starring in Prime Video's upcoming Spider-Man series, Spider-Noir. Cage voiced Spider-Man Noir in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse animated movie, but this is not the same character. Instead of playing Peter Parker, Cage's character is called Ben Reilly, and his superhero is Spider.
Without words, it is very close to Spider-Man Noir comics published by Marvel. Season 1 will feature alternate versions of Spidey's villains, including Silvermane (Brendan Gleeson), Sandman (Jack Huston) and Tombstone (Abraham Popoola). There will also be an option to watch the show in black and white.
Spider-Noir will air on Prime Video on May 27.
