Helena Bonham Carter leaves the next season of The White Lotushis role will be restructured and recast.

“As we have just recorded Season 4 of White Lotus, it was seen that the character which Mike White created for Helena Bonham Carter was not compatible at all,” said an HBO spokesperson in a statement sent to the store.
The statement continued: “The role has been rethought, rewritten and will be recast in the coming weeks. HBO, the producers and Mike White are saddened that they will not be working with him, but they remain avid fans and very much hope to work with this legendary actor on another project in the near future.”

According to the source, although Carter was at the top of the list of producers who wanted to work with him, White decided that the character must be re-evaluated and re-edited for this season, which will be played during the Cannes Film Festival in France.
