Trump Accounts will offer Vanguard, iShares and State Street index ETFs

The chairman of the US Securities and Exchange Commission Paul Atkins discusses the number of investment accounts of Trump in Kudlow.
On Wednesday the Treasury Department announced a program of investment funds that will be available in Trump Accounts for families to choose from in the coming months as they use the accounts to invest in their children's futures.
When the program officially launches on July 4, all contributions to the Trump Accounts will be automatically invested in the S&P 500 ETF (SPYM) State Street SPDR Portfolio (SPYM), a low-cost exchange-traded fund (ETF) that tracks the performance of the S&P 500 Index.
The Treasury's announcement said the fund was chosen because it provides broad exposure to the U.S. stock market and keeps expenses well below the 0.1% expense ratio limit established by the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, which created Trump's accounts.

While the SPYM ETF will be the default investment when Trump accounts are launched, the Treasury Department said it plans to make several other funds available to investors in the coming months once functionality is available on the platform.
Four other low-cost ETFs that track broad indexes will be available for Trump accounts in the future:
- iShares Core S&P 500 ETF (IVV)
- Vanguard Total Stock Market ETF (VTI)
- State Street SPDR Portfolio S&P 1500 Composite Stock Market ETF (SPTM)
- iShares Core S&P Total US Stock Market ETF (ITOT)

HERE'S HOW THE TRUMP ACCOUNT COULD GROW OVER TIME
The iShares IVV ETF offers investors an alternative to tracking the S&P 500 Index, which is considered the benchmark for the US stock market and tracks 500 US-listed companies that meet criteria for market capitalization, liquidity, trading volume and other factors.
State Street's SPTM ETF tracks a broad portion of the US market through the S&P 1500 Composite Index, as it includes 1,500 companies that operate across large-cap firms similar to those in the S&P 500 as well as mid-cap and small-cap firms.
Vanguard's VTI ETF tracks the CRSP US Total Market Index, which includes the large-cap, mid-cap and small-cap segments of the US market.
The iShares ITOT ETF tracks the S&P Total Market Index and includes the large, mid and small cap segments of the US equity market.

Since those investment funds are on the floor and expected to be available in Trump's accounts in the coming months, the Treasury Department said it will make an announcement when the investment election work becomes available.
The Ministry of Finance will also provide instructions to parents and guardians involved in their children's accounts on how to change the allocation of investments.
