Tom Brady launches the Good Nut coconut water line with Gopuff

NFL legend Tom Brady's latest venture is hitting beverage shelves in a market expected to reach $11 billion by 2030.

Brady, as part of an expansion of its recent partnership with Gopuff, announced the launch of Good Nut, the first line of organic coconut water, on Monday.

As consumers become more aware of their demand for less processed, less sugary beverages today, the market for coconut water continues to rise. Gopuff, an instant trade leader, pointed out that customers were buying coconut water, and sales were up 115% year-over-year at its location.

As a result, Brady and Gopuff spent money on change.

“Gopuff has a unique ability to understand what consumers want and get great products in their hands in minutes,” Brady said in an exclusive statement to Fox Business. “We had a great experience working together on GOAT Gummies, and that trust made it easy to reunite on Good Nut. From product development to launch, we've been aligned in creating something Gopuff customers want to drink.”

Brady has always been one to think about everything that goes into his body, making coconut water an instant hit. In fact, the idea started because chocolate coconut water is a staple of the Brady family with him and his children.

“It's something I've enjoyed for years, and drinking water has always been an important part of my life, both during my playing days and today,” he said.

“Dehydration has always been a big part of my routine, and although coconut water has become a staple for me, I knew we could take it to a whole different level by teaming up with Gopuff. With Good Nut, we focused on keeping the ingredients simple and clean, making sure they were exactly what I would want in my fridge.”

Good Nut uses natural Vietnamese coconut, delivering a clean, refreshing sensation of hydration in its 11.8 ounce can. And it comes in three variants – original, chocolate and glossy.

“We quickly recognized that there was an opportunity to shake up this category with a product that tasted amazing, used great ingredients, and had a strong brand that got people talking,” said Tyler Stewart, Gopuff's head of marketing, in a statement. “Combining premium products with playful, unexpected, and unpretentious products has become a big part of how we build together with Tom.

“Whether it's GOAT Gummies, our Super Monday Off campaign, or now Good Nut, we're always trying to give our customers and fans more of what they want, and definitely give them a little fun along the way.”

As Brady said in a statement to Fox Business, “One of the most rewarding parts of this chapter of my life has been building products from the ground up.” Brady has already worked with Gopuff on GOAT Gummies, an organic, vegan snack brand developed in France that contains no artificial sweeteners, dyes, or flavors, while being made with real fruit.

Now, Brady continues his brand-building career after toying with yet another health-conscious consumer product.
