Everton are now in the race for the £25m star who Leeds have recently been in talks to sign
Everton are now in the race to sign Pavel Sulc, while Lyon have set a summer sale clause.
The Toffees' interest in the attacking midfielder comes after an impressive campaign in Ligue 1, according to former Czech international Mario Licka, who said: “He had a unique season in a famous league. It was the first time he left the Czech Republic. It was not easy, especially for a big club like Lyon.”
Indeed, the former Viktoria Plzen man adapted to life in France remarkably well, scoring 14 goals in 38 appearances in all competitions, while also registering seven assists.
In fact, the Czech maestro was Lyon's most consistent goalscorer in Ligue 1, averaging 0.63 goals in 90, which was the highest of any player in the club.
So, the 25-year-old is now ready for a move to the Premier League, and there is no shortage of interest, with Leeds recently holding club-to-club talks.
However, David Moyes' side could look to open a gap.
Everton want to sign Pavel Sulc
According to a report from the Daily Mail, Everton are now considering a move for Sulc, with Lyon open to agreeing to a sale, if they can get at least £25m.
The Czech international is attracting interest from across the continent, given his performances for Lyon last season, before making three World Cup appearances.

Leading the race |
Leeds appear to be ahead of Everton in the race for Sulc, with Daniel Farke's side holding direct talks with Lyon. The Toffees are yet to make contact with the French side, which shows their interest is very low. |

The price tag has been revealed |
Everton may have to fork out £25m to get the striker over the line, with Lyon in a strong negotiating position, having a contract until the summer of 2029. |

Another target is Everton |
Moyes' side are currently short on attacking midfielders, but are still keen to strengthen their front line overall. A bid has been made for Bayer Leverkusen striker Christian Kofane, while former Newcastle United winger Jacob Murphy is also interested. |
The latest in Roony Bardghji's Everton pursuit
Everton are also keen to improve their options in wide areas this summer, with FC Barcelona's Roony Bardghji emerging as a target.
The Toffees have now been linked with a deal for the Sweden international, and there are encouraging signs that a deal is possible, with the reigning La Liga champions keen to get him off the books before the start of the pre-season tour.
It could be crucial for Moyes to sign a new winger this summer, as the Merseysiders still have a deal for Manchester City's Jack Grealish over the line.
