Chelsea set to sign Premier League star Tuchel thinks 'very good'
Chelsea are now planning a move for Alex Scott from Bournemouth this summer, and are set to compete with Manchester United to sign the midfielder.
Chelsea are planning a move for Alex Scott
The Blues seem to be getting closer and closer to square one under BlueCo ownership. Once again, doubts are being raised about the long-term future of their manager, Liam Rosenior who is at risk this time around, and their recruitment looks very disappointing.
For all the money they have spent, there is a good chance that the Blues will miss out on Champions League football this season. It would be a huge failure after hiring so much in recent years. And it will force them into the market again.
This time around, those at Stamford Bridge will be looking to set things right and are already looking at some Premier League names as a result.
Ahead of the summer transfer window, the Blues are reportedly targeting Tottenham Hotspurs Lucas Bergvall and it is clear that the priority would be to find a replacement for Enzo Fernandez.
Chelsea prepare £50m bid for Spurs star to replace Enzo Fernandez
The Blues are planning a bid for the “unstoppable” player.
The World Cup winner looked set for the exit door after publicly playing on the idea during the recent break, before Rosenior responded by sending the midfielder off.
Replacing a player of such caliber will not be easy and Bergvall may not be the answer. Instead, the West London club could turn to the South Coast.
According to Caught Offside, Chelsea are now planning to sign Scott from Bournemouth in a deal that will see them replace Fernandez immediately.
“Very good” Scott is ready for the big move
With Eli Junior Kroupi, Marcos Senesi and Andoni Iraola himself continuing to steal the headlines at Bournemouth, it's worth keeping an eye on Scott.
The midfielder hasn't always been stealing the attention of potential players, but a recent England call-up combined with his consistency during Bournemouth's many changes has changed that story. Now he is ready for the big move.
“He had a fantastic EUROS. He won the title and Lee was full of praise. He did a fantastic job in midfield with Elliot Anderson who is starting regularly.
“It was great but then he took it one step further and he's a regular player now for Bournemouth and they're in the top third of the league. They're always overworked.” (Thomas Tuchel to Scott)
Although Scott was forced to settle at home rather than the England camp in the recent international camp, he was rated highly by Thomas Tuchel.
A move to a club of Chelsea's stature could cement his place in the Three Lions camp and more. When Bournemouth boss Iraola looks for a new challenge this summer, Scott should do the same.
