The Ottawa Senators are not trading Brady Tkachuk unless forced to
Elliotte Friedman on Wednesday's 32 Thoughts Podcast with Kyle Bukauskas was asked about Brady Tkachuk's future in Ottawa. He said the only way the Senators will trade him is if they are forced to.

Elliotte Friedman: “The first thing I took away from all of this is that Ottawa won't even think about selling him unless they have to. We know how sensitive the Senators are to rumors, but you can tell Staios, Michael Andlauer, a lot of pride in their team and their franchise and the market of their city, whatever you want to call it bad, and they don't want to call it bad. I think everything is fine.
You should be proud of your organization and the market you serve. Just watching it and listening to it, it's pretty clear, Kyle, the Ottawa Senators don't do this unless they're forced to. It will not be their decision. Never. They will have to be forced to move forward.”
The Dallas Stars will pay Jason Robertson a long term deal
Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman joined SiriusXM NHL Network Radio with Scott Laughlin and Gord Stellick Wednesday morning and was asked about the latest on Jason Robertson and the Dallas Stars.

Okay, so Jason Robertson, it hasn't been talked about much yet. He's in the last year of his contract. He has an offseason deal after he's released.

What do you hear about Robertson? This is a guy you might think they'd like to stick around for a long time, but apparently, he's not taking a paycheck. Elliotte Friedman: “I think he's going to get what he wants, and I think it's going to be at least 12 years of Rantanen, and Dallas said, let's see how the year plays out. Take care of your business, and things will take care of themselves. And Robertson has done that. And my guess is that they pay him, and he ends up around Rantanen.”
