Bank of America announced on Wednesday that it will hire about 4,000 summer students and full-time employees on campuses this summer as the nation's second-largest bank looks to bring new talent to its workforce.
The company said in its release that the hiring plans reflect Bank of America's deliberate and ongoing approach to hiring top performing talent from more than 500. colleges and universities to support the bank's customers and drive its long-term growth.
“Our approach to hiring is purposeful and long-term,” said Sheri Bronstein, chief people officer at Bank of America.
“We focus on attracting the best talent with the right skills, strengths, and strong work ethic – and we invest in growing that talent with long-term careers that meet our clients' needs and drive reliable growth,” added Bronstein.

Last fall, Bank of America said it intended to hire 10,000 more people military bases within the next five years – adding to more than 20,000 employers since 2015 and increasing the new goal to 30,000 since then.
Its September 2025 announcement also said it plans to move forward with 8,000 new hires. community colleges over the next five years, it doubled its annual jobs from 800 to 1,600 in that time.

Bank of America also said in September that it plans to invest in 700 jobs within its network financial institutions in new growth markets, including Alabama, Idaho, Louisiana and Wisconsin.
The projects will support the opening of 26 financial institutions in the next 18 months and 37 financial institutions in those states by 2027.

The company also announced Wednesday that it has donated $2 million to buy free FIFA World Cup tickets for U.S. military, veterans, first responders and their families.
