Newcastle will launch a plan to sign another World Cup star after Manzambi

The drama just got heated at St James' Park. Newcastle United's talent exodus looks set to continue thanks to Bruno Guimaraes and an exit that will result in new faces.

The Magpies have already signed Bouzamana Toure and agreed a deal to sign Sean Steurs from Ajax. Now, they are more focused on the stars of the World Cup. There is confidence that Johan Manzambi's deal will be finalized after the tournament and he could now be linked with another summer star in the form of Antonio Nusa.

Honesty

Nusa was one of the stars that emerged from the World Cup and it was expected to be so. His talent was clear before the competition started at RB Leipzig and the German club are now awaiting an offer from Newcastle as they look for attacking additions.

Finance

The Bundesliga seems to be where it is in Newcastle this summer and the price of Nusa seems to be in the same place as Manzambi. Although Leipzig do not want to lose their man, they are reported to have set a price of around £60m to sell the winger.

Understanding

While much of the focus has been on Yan Diomande this summer, it is another Leipzig star who could be on his way to the Premier League. The Norwegian scored nine goals last season and scored an important goal for Norway against Ivory Coast recently.

Impact

Nusa's arrival could end Newcastle's pursuit of a full-back, having already added Toure. It would allow them to focus on securing midfield reinforcements during Guimaraes' exit.

Fresh from a strong World Cup campaign, Nusa will be a wanted man this summer, with Newcastle among the clubs chasing.

Newcastle are expected to launch an offer for Antonio Nusa

According to Pete O'Rourke's Football Insider, Newcastle is expected to introduce Nusa before next season. A move from the Premier League is reported to have appealed to the 21-year-old and, although RB Leipzig are reluctant to sell their star this summer, the clubs could still consider their decision.

Previous reports said the German club valued Nusa at around £60m, which would be a huge sum. Newcastle, however, have cash to burn after selling Sandro Tonali for £100m, Anthony Gordon for over £69m, and Guimaraes is unlikely to go cheap.

£60m Nusa have a chance to replace Gordon

Replacing Gordon will not be an easy task this summer. The England international played a talisman role in Alexander Isak's absence last season, before joining the Swede out the door. Now that they are out of the Champions League, Newcastle look to be focused on investing. And that's where Nusa comes in.

The talent of this midfielder can be summed up by his goal against Ivory Coast. He got inside before finding the top corner in a way Newcastle fans can get used to.
