A broadcaster who broadcasts to more than 1 million followers on the popular online platform has drawn fire after calling out Mayor Zohran Mamdani by name as she declared that Islam would take over New York City.

“Allahu Akbar!” extremist internet broadcaster Sneako shouted among a group of Egyptian football fans as drums and horns blared. Egyptian flags waved through the crowd as they sang.

Sneako, whose real name is Nicolas Kenn De Balinthazy, has been described as an instigator and has been rife with online antisemitics when he first became popular on social media. Before that, he focused on supporting a far-left political party and supported the presidential campaign of Socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders, Vt., 2016. He reportedly converted to Islam in 2023.

“This is the Islamic Republic of New York-istan,” he continued. “Islam will be in every home. Inshallah the whole world will be Muslim.”

One of the sharpest responses came from Rob O'Neill, the Navy SEAL who killed Osama bin Laden in a dawn raid on a terrorist compound in 2011.

“These guys sound different when you wake them up at 2 in the morning,” he said.

A pair of big men in X, with a history of bad blood, even come together to demand severe punishment from the broadcaster.

“Fire him NOW!!!” conspiracy theorist Alex Jones said in response to the piece, which received a response from X owner and former Jones adversary Elon Musk.

“Yes,” Musk simply replied.

When Musk bought X — then Twitter — and vowed to return free speech to the platform, Jones was suspended forever. Initially, Musk was reluctant to bring Jones back given the Sandy Hook controversy surrounding the radio show host. However, in the end, Musk backed down.

One X user labeled the broadcaster a “disgusting creature.”

“Send this guy to Iran if he hates America so much,” said one.

Sneako appeared to cryptically address the controversy in his post on X Sunday night.
