NEW YORK – Pop star Taylor Swift's wedding to three-time Super Bowl winner Travis Kelce will be a multi-day event that will include road closures, hundreds of VIPs, a special police detail and taxpayer-funded security measures, according to an apparent security memo reviewed by Fox News Digital.
The NYPD is preparing to close a city block outside Madison Square Garden in midtown Manhattan, a June 29 memo revealed.
The document details the event that includes many days of setup, celebrations, and separation, expected 1,000 guests – all small local crowds, and prominent players, but many of them are described as “high profile” and “VIP” by the police department.
Swift and Kelce have been tight-lipped about the guest list itself, and police have been advised to expect large crowds and paparazzi outside, according to the memo.

Guests reportedly received sealed invitations in an effort to prevent leaks, TMZ previously reported. There has been a mystery about where the churches will be married.
About 100 people have been invited to a rehearsal dinner at the Garden the evening before the big day, according to the memo.
New York authorities will close West 31st Street between Seventh and Eighth Avenues throughout the day on July 3, according to the memo – restrictions under the closure of the NBA Finals, which the New York Knicks won earlier this month. That closure extended to several blocks around MSG.
On the day of the wedding, guests will arrive at the secure reception tent as the cocktail hour begins, so they can enter without prying eyes.

The event is scheduled to take place in the evening with a reception starting in the early hours of July 4, according to the memo, and reports suggest there will be a set list.
About 10 blocks to the north, revelers will be ringing in the 250th birthday of the United States in Times Square, according to organizers of America 250 — with a ball dropping eight times, marking midnight every time the country has a spot.
The day-long celebrations are sponsored and approved by the New York City Street Work Permit Office, which is part of the Mayor's Office of Citywide Event Coordination and Management.
The NYPD is expected to provide taxpayer-funded security and traffic control.

The New York Post's Page Six reported that the wedding bash will feature performances from Stevie Nicks and Tim McGraw and be “bigger than the Met Gala.”
The Metropolitan Museum of Art's annual fundraiser generates tens of millions of dollars for the organization and also receives security assistance from the NYPD and the New York City Department of Sanitation.
In a photo obtained by Fox News Digital on Monday, a large truck was seen returning to the loading dock at MSG, where workers removed large items hidden in black plastic.
The NYPD did not immediately respond to requests for comment or address the authenticity of the memo.
The area is within the NYPD's Patrol Borough Manhattan South, where his boss was reassigned last week amid an internal affairs corruption investigation.
