Brad Pitt fights for survival in 'Heart of the Beast' first trailer

The first trailer for Brad Pitt's upcoming new movie has dropped and fans are excited.

Paramount released the first trailer for the 62-year-old actor's latest film, “Heart of the Beast,” on Thursday. Survivor Thriller stars Pitt as a former Navy SEAL and his combat canine, who fight to survive after a plane crash leaves them stranded in the Alaskan wilderness.

“Imagine being 60 and still the coolest actor under 30 Brad Pitt is different,” one fan wrote in the YouTube comments section.

Another added, “This looks PEAK, I can't wait to watch it,” while a third wrote, “Brad Pitt is the perfect combination of actor + action hero + singer + great.”

Directed by David Ayer, the film also stars JK Simmons and Anna Lambe, and is set to premiere on September 25.

“After a horrific plane crash, Special Forces officer James Belmont (Brad Pitt) and his fighting dog, Odin, find themselves stranded in the Alaskan wilderness. Together, they are forced to fight brutally for survival against the elements,” the film's synopsis reads. “From acclaimed filmmaker David Ayer, ''Heart of the Beast' is a thrilling drama that explores the unbreakable bond between a man and his best friend as they face their greatest battle yet.”

In addition to “Heart of the Beast,” Pitt will star in “Adventures of Cliff Booth,” which will see him reprise his role as the titular character, after making his debut in 2019's “Once Upon a Time in… Hollywood.”

The role quickly became a fan favorite, making the film a hit, and eventually earned him an Academy Award for best supporting actor.

“This is something Quentin Tarantino wrote. It's a sequel, not necessarily a sequel, to a character from 'Once Upon A Time,'” he told Deadline in June 2025. “He didn't want to direct it at this time, so our mutual friend David Fincher came in, and we're going to start filming in July. It should be really fun.”

The trailer dropped just one day after his daughter, Zahara, who he shared with ex-wife Angelina Jolie, reportedly asked Pitt to have her last name removed, asking that known as Zahara Marley Jolie from now on, according to E! News.

His decision comes after another daughter of these exes, Shiloh, also filed a petition to remove Pitt from her surname. Shiloh later coined a new name, when he organized a sensual dance under the nickname Shi, for dancers Keoni Rose and Tako Suzuki, according to. Variety.

“She knows and is upset that Shiloh dropped her last name. She never felt the joy of being born. She always wanted a daughter,” a source told People in June 2024 when Shiloh filed the first petition to drop Pitt on her behalf.

“Reminders that he lost his children, it's not easy for Brad. He loves his children and misses them. It's very sad,” said the source.

Since he and Jolie broke up in September 2016, Pitt has been rumored to be dating several women, but he has only confirmed his relationship with Ines de Ramon, with whom he has been dating since late 2022.
