Josh Jacobs posts footage of him yelling, things being thrown before being arrested

The leaked audio added context to the alleged domestic violence incident involving Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs, one of them from his hometown of Wisconsin.

The audio, obtained by TMJ 4, shows a dispatcher talking to an officer about the “yelling and screaming” she heard on the open line at Jacobs' home.

“Items are being thrown, open the line,” the dispatcher told the officer. “…Maybe a man and a woman.”

Then, the sound of a second call was added, as the dispatcher described the neighbor calling what they could hear at Jacobs' home.

“A neighbor is calling now, saying his neighbor was attacked,” dispatch said.

When authorities arrived at Jacobs' residence, he was gone. He left the scene in his Mercedes G-Wagon, although police were tracking his license plate readers. Call to stop the car if it is seen on the road.

Jacobs was arrested on Tuesday following an investigation by the Hobart-Lawrence Police Department, and was booked on five counts of domestic violence.

The department said in a statement that Jacobs was booked into the Brown County Jail on charges of domestic abuse, vandalism, domestic abuse, strangulation, and threatening a victim. According to Brown County Jail records, strangulation and suffocation are felonies, and the other four are felonies.

The investigation is ongoing and ongoing, the statement said.

Jacobs' attorneys, David Z. Chesnoff and Clarence Duchac, said the 28-year-old suspect denies all charges.

“Josh denies these allegations, and this matter will still be investigated as there is important evidence that has not come to light,” read the statement of the lawyers.

“We ask for impartiality and restraint while the judicial process continues.”

The NFL has been notified of the situation and has been in contact with the Packers. Green Bay also told The Athletic that it would not comment due to the ongoing investigation into the matter.

Jacobs finished his second season with the Packers, compiling 929 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns on 1,234 carries in 2025. In 2024, he amassed 1,329 yards on 301 attempts with 15 touchdowns to lead the Packers' ground game in his first season.

Jacobs, who spent five seasons with the Las Vegas Raiders before his time in Green Bay, previously led the league in rushing yards. His 2022 campaign saw 1,653 yards and 12 touchdowns in a 17-game slate.
