From a true crime doctor The crash of Sacha Baron Cohen jokes Ladies First, the broadcaster keeps churning out bangers that keep you in – and ruin your social schedule.

Good movies are worth it, and Watch Us thinks the next new movies are good enough to cancel those hiking or camping plans.

A new real-life thriller, Dead Man's Phoneis at the top of our list, with many films featuring stars like these Adam Driver, John Travolta, Patrick Dempsey and more.

'Dead Man's Phone' (2025)

Tony Kiritsis (Bill Skarsgård) feels betrayed and powerless, and wants the men she cheated on to pay. Do you think the Halls, father ML (Al Pacino) and son Richard (Dacre Montgomery), defrauded him of money from a land development deal that goes sour, and he thinks they should compensate him. They believe otherwise, so Tony does what many powerless men have done before or after him – he turns to crime to get what he wants. But by kidnapping Richard at gunpoint and holding him, he creates a media circus that heightens his need to be seen as a working-class hero. Will Tony's time in the spotlight get the apology – and money – he craves? Or will it end in a hail of bullets and Tony six feet under?

Explaining the classical Oingo Boingo song, i Dead Man's Phoneand who could ask for more? Based on a true story, this underappreciated 2025 film is a thriller that plays out in near real time. Everyone can feel Tony's frustration — he's an all-purpose “The Man,” and his actions create a media frenzy looking for a dramatic ending. I won't divulge if that happens or not, but what I can say is that the film features another great performance from Skarsgård, who proves that he can play more than demonic clowns, ancient vampires and various other boogeymen.

'Ferrari' (2023)

It's 1957, and Enzo Ferrari (Adam Driver) has already conquered the European car industry. But the high life is not so stable for him, and when Ferrari opens, he encounters several problems that threaten to overwhelm him. His estranged, mentally unstable wife, Laura (Penelope Cruz), is still mourning the loss of their only son, while his loving wife, Lina (Shailene Woodley), pushing him to name their lonely son a surname. To make matters worse, his business is going bankrupt, and the only way to save it is to merge with another company. The only problem is that he won't do that without Laura's permission, and she's still mad at him for having an affair and won't accept the death of their son.

If you are expecting a racing drama like Ford v Ferrarithink again. Ferrari he is more concerned with painting a portrait of the subject man at a crucial time in his life when he has lost everything – his family, his wealth and most importantly for him, his dignity. The pilot does an excellent job of portraying both sides of the businessman: the mysterious person in public and the private man who still harbors a secret heartache. The final act of the film it does features the most thrilling car racing involving the most spectacular crashes I have ever seen in modern films. It's gripping, brutal and unforgiving, which is an accurate description of the entire movie itself.

'Domestic Disorder' (2001)

12 year old Danny (Matt O'Leary) is not very happy that his divorced mother, Susan (Teri Polo), marries another man, Rick (Vince Vaughn). He doesn't trust Rick at all, but he doesn't know why. His suspicions are proven correct when he sees Rick kill an acquaintance from his past. Danny goes to the police, but because of his disrespectful teenage background, no one really believes him, except his estranged father, Frank (John Travolta). But Frank needs time to find evidence to convince the authorities to arrest Rick, and that's the time Danny and his unsuspecting mother have before they become his next victims.

Domestic Disruption it's as simple a fun B-movie as it looks. Rick is a capital “B” bad, and he's not motivated by anything more complicated than being a bad guy who does bad things for the hell of it. The film works because of the way the actors commit to their roles. Vaughn clearly enjoys playing the villain, while Travolta shows his good side as an ex-husband still trying to reconcile with his wife. The 2001 thriller is perfect for Netflix subscribers looking for the wrong movie they can't miss for five minutes here and there while scrolling through their phones.
