Taylor Frankie Paul's Exes Dakota, Tate React to DCFS Concerts

Taylor Frankie Paulex Dakota Mortensen again Father Paul they broke their silence after the Department of Child and Family Services raised concerns about his parentage.

Dakota shares son Ever, 2, with Taylor, 32, whom she dated for several years before splitting earlier this year. (Their tumultuous relationship made headlines in March when they were involved in an alleged domestic violence dispute. The district attorney later decided not to charge Taylor in the alleged incident.)

Tate was married Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star from 2016 to 2022. Fans split up after Taylor crossed a line during their low-skating pact, which she later acknowledged in a TikTok video. The couple have two children, Indy, 8, and Ocean, 6.

A few months ago, Taylor found herself in a custody battle with Dakota and Tate.

In the midst of these legal disputes, the Utah division of DCFS filed a petition asking the juvenile court to find that its three children were “abused, neglected or abused.”

TMZ It was reported on Wednesday, July 15, that DCFS has also asked a judge to order protective custody services, appoint a guardian ad litem to represent the children and issue any additional orders deemed to be in their best interest.

“Tate and Dakota are grateful that DCFS took this concern seriously and stepped in to protect the children,” Taylor's partners said in their statement. “They have a serious concern that the family court system, law enforcement, prosecutors, and social organizations need the rational cooperation needed to understand the situation and act in a way that may protect the children.

Tate and Dakota's statement noted that both fathers “remain focused on protecting children, giving them the time and space they need to heal, supporting meaningful accountability, and using their families' experiences to help improve interactions between these systems in the future.”

“Despite numerous false allegations published online and on social media about them by Taylor and others, Tate and Dakota have chosen not to participate in the often misunderstood social media and other online activities related to their cases,” the statement continued. “They just kept quiet to protect their children, not because they don't have things to say, when the time is right they will tell their story in their own words in the right forum.

Taylor, on the other hand, responded to the DCFS entry on Thursday, July 16, telling Us in a statement, “It was recently determined that ongoing child custody proceedings would be better suited to juvenile court, a common step in high-conflict, complex cases.”

The reality star's rep added, “Taylor is undaunted by this change; she welcomes the added structure and oversight it provides and looks forward to continuing her progress toward maintaining normalcy and becoming the healthiest version of herself.”

The statement concluded: “Taylor remains fully committed to doing whatever it takes to achieve that goal and will not be swayed from it.” Taylor appreciates the expertise of DCFS and its representatives.”
