Danny Rohl confirmed the Rangers' “discussions” regarding the Mikey Moore deal

Danny Rohl confirmed that “discussions” are already taking place during the Rangers' first signing of the summer, with the 49ers working on a deal.
Rohl was happy with the Rangers' “huge” victory
The Gers haven't given up on their title ambitions just yet. They were stubborn against Aberdeen, winning 4-1, and are now within three points of Scottish Premiership leaders Hearts.
Goals from Tochi Chukwuani, Mikey Moore, Nicolas Raskin and captain James Tavernier capped an excellent afternoon, leaving Rohl delighted with his side.
The Rangers manager told reporters in full: “A good performance, over 90, 95 minutes.
“We talked about this result and performance today, I think we saw both and that's what makes me happy today, to see my team doing like this.
“We want to see goals, I think this is always good. I'm the manager, I also want to see clean goals. This is a small thing today after 2-0 which brought this team back for a while.
Forget Rommens: Rangers star is fast becoming Tavernier 2.0 at Ibrox
Rangers march into Premiership title contention following Saturday's win over Aberdeen.
“But in general, the way we played with a lot of intensity, we were very aggressive on the ball, we put it well in the possession. In general, it's a small statement, especially with goal difference, we won the last two cups and now we have seven to go.”
Despite being without a title this season, it's becoming clearer every week that Rohl is the man for the job at Ibrox. If the former manager of Sheffield Wednesday had taken over from the start of the season, it is possible that the Gers would be on the hunt for silverware at this stage.
The 49ers have certainly supported their man so far and must continue to do so this summer. Recent reports have already claimed that Rangers are interested in the likes of Elijah Just, and Rohl has confirmed “discussions” about the attacking star.
Rohl confirms Mikey Moore talks
Having his say on the summer transfer window, Rohl confirmed “discussions” about a deal for Moore to stay at Rangers while he is out on loan – suggesting the 49ers are already busy.
“I think there are always discussions, but we know when Mike is doing this, you can see Mike is enjoying playing for Rangers. The fans love him, I love him, he is an important player.
“I think there are a lot of good things where we can go together again, but we know that he is not our player anymore, let's work in the next few weeks in all those ways.”
On paper, signing Moore permanently would be an ambitious move. In reality, however, Tottenham Hotspur's potential relegation could open the door to just that.
The North London side are in a precarious position in the Premier League and face a shortage of talent if they fail to avoid relegation. Whether Moore would prefer to stay at Rangers, whether on loan again, or return to the Championship club remains to be seen.
The young winger has done enough to secure a long-term stay at Ibrox.
