Look, Nelly Korda is off to a great season on fire. The 2024 Chevron champion came out of the gates Thursday at Memorial Park, shooting a bogey-free seven-under 65. That gave the World No.
Patty Tavatanakit and Somi Lee will enter the second round of T2 at five under.
World No. 1 Jeeno Thitikul did not fare well on Day 1. Thitikul, who has never won a major, made five bogeys en route to a 2-over 74 on Thursday. He will start the second round of T80 on Friday and needs a low round to make the cut and play for the weekend.
Defending champion Mao Saigo edged Thitikul by one shot. He will start Round 2 eight shots behind Korda.
