The search for Nancy Guthrie enters its seventh week as the suspect is still at large

The search for the missing Arizona, 84, Nancy Guthrie, mother of Savannah Guthrie, one of the editors of “Today”, entered the seventh week on Sunday morning.

Savannah, who skipped NBC's Olympics coverage to spend time with her family during the search effort, has not returned to work, although she visited her colleagues earlier this month after returning to New York from her hometown of Tucson.

His mother is believed to have been abducted from her longtime home in the Catalina Foothills, a suburb north of Tucson, on the morning of February 1.

Authorities obtained Nest doorbell camera video of an unidentified masked suspect. They received additional photos last week that have not been made public, and it is unclear if they are important to the investigation.

There are billboards in many states across the US southwest, from Texas to California, with sightings reported in major cities including Houston and Los Angeles, asking anyone with information to come forward.

Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos warned last week that the suspect “could” strike again and said he believed he knew a possible motive in an interview with Savannah Guthrie's NBC network.

“We believe it was intended, but we can't – we're not sure of that,” he said. “And so it would be foolish to tell people, 'Yeah don't worry about it. You're not his goal.' No, you can be.”

Investigators previously said the victim's pacemaker lost a Bluetooth connection around 2:30 a.m. the night she went missing. They found drops of blood on his front porch, which faces the driveway, where the driveway stopped.

A a hybrid DNA sample what was found in his house was sent to a private lab in Florida and has not been resolved.

Federal law enforcement sources previously told Fox News Digital that it provided only a partial profile that was insufficient for the FBI's CODIS database of known criminals and genetic analysis techniques.

Separately, Nanos confirmed that investigators are looking into a species power or internet outages the morning of Nancy's abduction, but said it was not connected to the utility box in the corner from the home that showed signs of tampering.
