£47.5m from Nottingham Forest

A deadline day signing in September 2023, Brennan Johnson cost Tottenham £47.5m from Nottingham Forest.

The Wales international, who can play anywhere in the front three, signed a contract until 2028 but was sold in January 2026 to Crystal Palace.

After missing out on Eberechi Eze to rivals Arsenal, Spurs then moved to sign Chelsea's Xavi Simons deal in the summer of 2025.
