Abdullah Mason Stops Albert Bell, Carrington Retains Title

In the main event, WBO World Lightweight champion Abdullah Mason, 21-0 (18) stopped 'Prince' Albert Bell, 28-1 (9) at 0:45 of the 12th and final round.
In the first four rounds, Bell, taking the fight on just 10 days' notice, wore down Mason. In the fifth and sixth rounds, Mason finally started winning rounds.
In the seventh round, Bell regained control. In the eighth, Mason bloodied Bell's nose with a left hand at the last minute. In the tenth, Bell was touched above his left eyebrow as Mason won another round.
The eleventh could go either way. In the twelfth and final round, Mason dropped Bell with a left hand to the chin. Seconds later, Mason pushed the tired Bell to the canvas, and fell to his knees, when referee Mark Nelson waved off the fight, as if the others had arrived too early.

In the main event, WBC World Featherweight champion Bruce 'Shu Shu' Carrington, 18-0 (10), defeated southpaw Rene 'Zurdo' Palacios, 19-1-1 (10), via a 12-round unanimous decision.
For the first six rounds, Carrington countered the oncoming Palacios with success and kept knocking him out.
In the eighth round, Palacios appeared to drop Carrington with a punch to the side of the head, although Carrington said it was to the back of the head and referee Harvey Dock did not say it was a knock down.
In the final minute of the eleventh round, Palacios hurt Carrington in the left side of the body, forcing the champion to hold the remainder of the round. Palacios finished twelfth strongly but was unable to overcome Carrington's early lead, although he left the champion with marks under both eyes.
The scores were 116-112, 117-111, and 118-110.
Welterweight 2020 Olympian and WBO NABO champion Delante 'Tiger' Johnson, 18-0 (8), defeated WBC Continental Americas champion Christopher 'Machine Gun' Guerrero, 16-1 (9) by a 10-round unanimous decision, while adding the IBF North American title.
The opening round featured little movement until the final minute, when Johnson landed a right to the chin. In the third round, Guerrero finally connected with a right hand of his own, although Johnson won another close round.
In the closing seconds of the fourth, Guerrero rocked Johnson with a right hand to take his first round. He got another solid late in the fifth.
From the sixth to the eighth round, Johnson regained control, finishing the eighth strong. He continued to fight Guerrero in the ninth as he dominated with his jab. In the tenth and final round, Johnson landed a series of unanswered punches midway through the round to seal the win.
The scores were 100-92, 99-91, and 99-91.

Lightweight Deric 'Scooter' Davis, 12-0 (10) won an eight-round decision over southpaw Carlos Ramos, 18-5-1 (10) and the fans made it clear that they did not agree with the decision.
Ramos finished the stronger fighter in the second round, while Davis had a hard time against his first southpaw opponent. Ramos continued to have the edge in the sixth round before suffering a cut to his right eyebrow late in the fight.
The seventh round was crucial, Davis did enough to finish it off. The eighth and final round seemed close enough that many felt the fight was either a draw or a victory for Ramos.
The scores were 77-75, 78-74, and 78-74.

Super featherweight Ibrahim Mason, 3-0 (3) stopped Erik Hanley, 1-3 (1) in the second round of a fight scheduled for four rounds, scoring four knockdowns.
In the second round, Mason dropped Hanley with a left to the chin in a count of eight from referee Lonnie Scott. A body shot produced a second knockdown, a right hand to the chin sent Hanley back down again, and another body shot scored the fourth knockdown, ending the fight.
Lightweight Abdurrahman Mason, 3-0 (2) defeated Alvaro Huizar, 1-1) in an exciting four-round decision.
In the second round, Mason rocked Huizar with a right to the chin, but Huizar countered with a combination that briefly stunned Mason. Midway through the third round, Mason took Huizar's mouth open and opened his left eyebrow. Huizar lost his mouth again in the closing seconds of the round.
In the fourth and final round, Huizar's mouth came out for the third time. It was the best action of the fight, with Mason finishing solidly after an effective body blow.
Scores were 40-36 on all three cards.
