Teleers Championship Times: What you need to know
You might think that coming off a razor's edge with a historic round of 59 would give you a big cushion on the leaderboard, but as Scottie Scheffler proved Friday, when you're up against the world's best on an accessible golf course, it can feel like treading water.
Scheffler posted a score of 10-under 60 in Round 2, including 11 birdies and one bogey, but held just two shots for the championship at 16 under par overall. His closest competitor, Viktor Hovland, is 14 under after his blistering 61.
“At the end of the day, I was really focused on my execution out there. Who knows what the lead will be after today?” Scheffler said of his second round, which was completed in the morning by the waves of times. “I have given myself a chance this week, go home, rest, prepare for tomorrow.”
Scheffler is looking for his second win of the year after a total of eight top-10 finishes so far in 2026. Scheffler will play Hovland in the third round at 2 pm ET.
