First Day Draft Sales Picks
#15 and #29 – The Anaheim Ducks receive the Detroit Red Wings 2026 1st round pick (via STL) and the Colorado Avalanche's 2026 1st round pick (via STL) and the St. Louis Blues get Mason McTavish.
#17 and #19 – The Utah Mammoth get the Los Angeles Kings 2026 1st round pick (#17) for the 2026 first round pick (#19) and the 2026 round pick (#83).
#23 – The Utah Mammoths receive the Boston Bruins 2026 1st round pick, and a conditional 2028 1st round pick (Florida's pick – top 10 protected).
#26 – Vegas Golden Knights receive Dallas Stars 2026 1st round pick (via NYR and DAL), 2026 3rd Round pick (# 92) and conditional 2028 1st round pick (top 10 protected) for Pavel Dorofeyev.
First Day Pre-Draft Picks Traded
#4 – The Buffalo Sabers receive the Chicago Blackhawks 2026 1st round pick, 2026 2nd round pick (#45) and Louis Crevier for Bowen Byram and Jordan Greenway.
#9 – The San Jose Sharks acquired the Florida Panthers 2026 1st round pick (via OTT) for William Eklund, Kasper Halttunen, and Brandon Svoboda. The Ottawa Senators received the Florida Panthers 2026 1st round pick (#9 and #25), a 2029 1st round pick, and a 2030 2nd round pick for Brady Tkachuk.
#15 – St. Louis Blues acquire the Detroit Red Wings 2026 1st round and 3rd round picks, Justin Holl, and Dmitri Buchelnikov for Justin Faulk.
#16 – St. Louis Blues acquire the Washington Capitals 2026 1st round pick, Connor McMichael and Milton Gastrin for Jordan Kyrou.
#18 – Washington Capitals acquire Anaheim Ducks 2026 1st round pick for D John Carlson. The pick is a condition for the Ducks to make the playoffs. If they miss the play-offs they can opt out in 2027.
#20 and #27– The Buffalo Sabers acquire the Edmonton Oilers 2026 first round pick (via SJ) for Ryan Kesselring and a 2026 first round pick (#27). The San Jose Sharks acquired the Edmonton Oilers 2026 first round pick (top 12 protected with an option to slide into 2027) and Carl Berglund for Jake Walman.
#24 – The Vancouver Canucks receive the Minnesota Wild's 2026 first round pick, Marco Rossi, Liam Ohgren and Zeev Buium for Quinn Hughes.
#25 – Ottawa Senators get Tampa Bay Lightning's 2026 1st round pick (# 25), 2026 1st round pick (# 9), 2029 first round pick 2030 2nd round pick for Brady Tkachuk. for SEC202 (second round of SEC202) choose Mackie Samoskevich. The Seattle Kraken receive the Tampa Bay Lightning's 2026 first-round pick (top 10 protected), 2027 first-round pick (top 10 protected), 2025 second-round pick (TOR), and Yanni Gourde's Michael Eyssimot, Oliver Bjorkstrand and a 2026 fifth-rounder in a team trade three. Seattle kept 50% of Gourde's salary and Detroit kept 25% of Gourde's salary. The Red Wings receive a 2025 fourth-round pick to save salary.
#26 – The New York Rangers receive the Dallas Stars 2026 first-round pick (via CAR) (better than Dallas or Carolina), a 2026 second-round pick, and Scott Morrow for K'Andre Miller. The Hurricanes received the Stars 2026 first round (top ten protected), 2028 first round pick (top 10 protected), 2026 third round, 2027 third round, and Logan Stankoven for Mikko Rantanen.
#29 – St. Louis Blues acquired the Colorado Avalanche's 2026 first-round pick (via NYI), a third-round pick, F Jonathan Drouin, and G Marcus Gidlof for F Brayden Schenn. The New York Islanders receive the Colorado Avalanche's 2026 first-round pick (or 2027 first-round pick), a conditional 2028 third-round pick, and Oliver Kylington for Brock Nelson and William Dufour.
#30 – The Calgary Flames get the Vegas Golden Knights 2026 first round pick, 2025 third round pick, and Daniil Miromanov for Noah Hanifin.
#32 – The Ottawa Senators initially forfeited their 2026 first-round pick (they picked between 2024, 2025, 2026) as a penalty imposed by the NHL for the Evgenii Dadonov trade to the Vegas Golden Knights and the subsequent trade to the Anaheim Ducks. On March 12, 2026, the NHL awarded the Senators the 32nd pick for 2026 instead of forfeiting it entirely. If the Senators miss the playoffs and win the draft lottery, there will be a redraft. The Senators had to pay a $1 million CDN fine and are not allowed to trade picks.
