Arsenal receive response to Jeremy Monga bid after hearing Englishman agrees personal terms

Leicester City have responded as Arsenal make a formal bid for England international Jeremy Monga, according to The Times.
Arsenal's summer transfer plans continue to be headline-grabbing as Mikel Arteta looks to strengthen a squad capable of challenging for multiple competitions next season.
The Gunners have been linked with a number of attacking players in recent weeks as they seek a rematch ahead of another Premier League title defence.
One player firmly on Arsenal's radar is Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers.

The Englishman has emerged as one of the club's most sought-after players after an impressive campaign for Unai Emery's side.
Arsenal have continued to be linked with a move despite the significant fee linked to Rogers, which could be up to £100m.
The striker remains under a long-term contract at Villa until 2031 after penning new terms last year, meaning any deal would require a big offer in that parking lot.

Bad news for Trossard: Arsenal agree fee to sign first summer signing
Leandro Trossard could be on his way out of Arsenal this summer.
Arsenal have also been credited with an interest in Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez.
The Argentinian has become one of the most talked about names in the European transfer market this summer, with Barcelona already rejected as reports claim he wants to leave Atletico.
The former Man City striker would represent a huge statement signing if a deal were to go through, but Diego Simeone's side are ready to make life very difficult.
Arsenal's recruitment strategy is not only focused on top stars, with the club also investing heavily in young talent.
One of the most notable names is, of course, Leicester's Monga.
The young player has attracted the attention of many top clubs following his impressive performance at the King Power Stadium.
Monga was one of the youngest players in Premier League history before he went on to develop in the Championship, and his performances have put him firmly on the radar of top clubs across England.
Man City, Chelsea and Man United have all been linked with interest at various stages.
However, Arsenal seem determined to win this race.
Arsenal receive a response from Leicester City after Jeremy Monga's request
According to Gary Jacobs of The Times this morning, Arsenal have seen a £5 million bid for Monga rejected by Leicester City.
The report claims that Leicester want a bigger package for the 16-year-old, with Leicester initially valuing Monga at around £15 million before lowering their demands to around £10 million plus a sell-on clause.
Arsenal's offer reportedly included a lower percentage of future sales profits than Leicester had hoped to receive.
On top of this scandal, talks are ongoing between the two clubs about England's 'best' player.
Arsenal are understood to prefer a quick deal rather than allowing the process to drag on, and Leicester's financial situation has put more focus on player sales this summer.
The Foxes are expected to listen to offers from a number of players following a difficult period on and off the pitch.
That could eventually open up the possibility of further negotiations over Monga, who has agreed personal terms to join the Gunners (Ben Jacobs).
