Ford, NASCAR launch campaign to honor America's 250th anniversary

Ford Motor Company and NASCAR are revising a new tax for US service members and military families.

The companies are joining forces during America's 250th anniversary year to launch a military-focused campaign supported by a new Veterans Day race and a limited Super Duty Proud to Honor package that will support Blue Star Families, a non-profit organization serving military and veterans.

Ford and NASCAR launched the campaign Wednesday during a tribute ceremony on the USS Midway in San Diego, where they will be joined by actor and Marine Corps veteran Rob Riggle, Blue Star Families, the Zac Brown Band and more than 1,500 members of the local military community.

Nick Ford, director of business strategy at Ford Motor Company and grandson of Henry Ford, told FOX Business that the effort builds on the automaker's long history of supporting those who work.

“From day one, supporting the military community has been a priority for us,” said Nick Ford. “… We have been trying to show our country and those who serve it.”

At the center of the campaign is the “Proud to Honor Veterans Day Classic,” scheduled for Nov. 11, 2026.

The inaugural race features Ford Mustang Dark Horse R race cars and Ford Racing drivers as a way to honor all six branches of the US military. At this event, there will also be a concert titled Zac Brown Band, and it is expected that other performers will be announced.

Nick Ford said the company wants to combine its racing business with efforts to support the military as the US celebrates its 250th anniversary.

“It's going to be a very important day,” said Nick Ford.

The trucks will feature red, white and blue styling, black exterior trim and black wheels, with a portion of the proceeds going directly to Blue Star Families.

This announcement follows another Ford campaign that coincides with the nation's 250th anniversary.

Earlier this year, the Michigan-based auto company launched its “Value American. For American Values” campaign, offering employee discounts to all US customers on many new 2025 and 2026 Ford and Lincoln models through July 6.
