The Detroit Red Wings and the Minnesota Wild

Can Detroit Keep Dylan Larkin Rather Than Trade Him? Is That Even An Option Now?
Anthony Di Marco of the Daily Faceoff appeared on TSN Radio in Montreal and was asked if he sees a world where Detroit Red Wings General Manager Steve Yzerman doesn't actually trade Dylan Larkin.

Announcer: “Do you see Steve Yzerman doing nothing here, just saying now? No, he's stuck with us?”
NHL rumors: Dylan Larkin, Detroit Red Wings, and Minnesota Wild
Anthony Di Marco: “I mean, I think he's the greatest GM in the league, so maybe, but just .. I don't see how you bring him, bring him back now. Obviously, they talked about words for more than a year ago, after the trade deadline and Steve Yzerman's inactivity, I just .. I don't see why he would want to cut that.
I think you will find .. you will watch out for the GM. Maybe it will be Bill Guerin. Like, I mean, Bill Guerin just goes out and gets what he wants. We saw that he recently paid Quinn Hughes a publisher, and I think the deal will be done. I just don't know. I know Yzerman is a stubborn guy, but I just don't know if he goes that way, because it won't help anyone.”
Anthony Di Marco of the Daily Faceoff appeared on TSN Radio in Montreal and in the follow-up was asked if the Minnesota Wild and their management are waiting for something else, or if now is the time to throw in their center.

Host: One thing I'm wondering, in Minnesota, in this fit with Dylan Larkin, if you're Bill Guerin, you're going to break up pieces where Jack Hughes might be available at some point, or Jack Hughes might be forced out of New Jersey, and you can a) bring the brothers together, and b) that means you'll probably get Quinn Hughes to sign a big extension.”
Di Marco: “I mean, it's a good point, Mitch, and I think that if all things were equal, he would have gone down that way. But the Minnesota Wild, as you said, as you were, you are referring to, instead, there is only one year left guaranteed for Quinn Hughes, like you can't bank on New Jersey making their franchise cornerback available.
Dylan Larkin Wants to Go to Three Clubs
And if Dylan Larkin is available, which we know he is, and if Dylan Larkin wants to go to Minnesota, which we now know he does, I think you should pull the trigger. There could be a move to get Jack Hughes in Minnesota, even if Larkin is going there now. Obviously, if you blow all those assets to bring in Larkin, and then you already blow a lot of assets to bring in (Quinn) Hughes, it makes it very difficult.
I don't think Minnesota can wait, because their window is already there, especially since (Kirill) Kaprizov's new contract will start next year.”
