The Rangers can forget Rohl by hiring the best manager in the league right away

Just when it looks like the Rangers project is starting to show signs of life ahead of next season, Danny Rohl may be saying goodbye.
The German has attracted the attention of Red Bull Salzburg, who have already been linked directly with the 49ers for a quick move.
This comes in the midst of the Gers' transfer business, which has already seen Lawrence Shankland and several other names enter their radar.
However, they may now have no choice but to focus on management change.
Who can replace Danny Rohl on the Rangers?
Ever since the news broke that Salzburg wanted to hire Rohl, the Ibrox chiefs will be sifting through notes in search of their final managerial list, which was formed less than a year ago.

The biggest challenge for Scotland's top clubs at the moment seems to be finding a long-term option in the technical area.
Celtic went from Brendan Rodgers to Martin O'Neill to Wilfried Nancy and then back to O'Neill. Meanwhile, the Rangers fired Russell Martin before signing Rohl and may now be in the market for a replacement.
They're not short on options at this point, though. There is no doubt that Steven Gerrard will be watched again. Talks broke down between the former manager and the 49ers last time out, but things are pretty much settled at Ibrox these days.
If anyone knows how to get Rangers back to Scottish Premiership glory, it's the man who last achieved just that in the 21/22 campaign.
Another option is Kevin Muscat. The former Rangers player has long been on the Gers' radar and could return to Scotland for the third time of asking.
However, none of those names should be the most preferred group. Having already stolen Shankland from under their noses, Rangers must land the final blow by hiring Hearts manager Derek McInnes.
Why Rangers should go all out to hire McInnes
There are many ways that Rangers could come back above Hearts next season as they look to challenge Celtic, but the most brutal way would be to take their captain and become their manager.
The first stage of that program has already been completed. Shankland completed his dream move at a bargain price.
Now, McInnes could be next in line if Rohl heads to Salzburg. An appointment that would steal all the headlines in Scotland and leave Rangers in their best position since Gerrard won the Premiership title.
The Hearts manager was named Scottish Manager of the Year last season and has undoubtedly been the best player in the league over the past 12 months. When the Ibrox chiefs head home, he is the star.

McInnes provides the balance that Rohl has so far failed to provide in the Scottish Premiership. Last season, his Hearts team, in his 4-4-2 formation, came close to history before Celtic pulled off a stunning victory on the final day and did it their way.
Luring a manager to Tynecastle will be no easy task, but Rangers would be foolish not to try.
Some may have seen the Shankland deal as unlikely after the last campaign. He is now set to play at Ibrox next season and could be joined by his former manager.

Rohl's next move: £4m star in pursuit of Rangers signing
Rangers are eyeing a move to sign a star who could be the next version of Danny Rohl's Tuur Rommens at Ibrox.
