Dave Pagnotta of The Fourth Period joined Erika Watcher on the NHL Network and was asked about the future of Sergei Bobrovsky and the Florida Panthers. Is there any chance he will leave Florida?

And I don't know if you're going to follow the same steps that Brad Marchand did with Florida in getting a long-term deal, spreading the money, but it seems that's what they want in these seasons. before the trade deadline, why you heard his name to some extent there.
Teams like Vegas and Montreal kicked the tires on Sergei Bobrovsky. At the same time, where these teams are right now, he's very good at that, but other teams will be looking to see where he's at in terms of scoring and what's going on with Bobrovsky.
It wouldn't surprise me if he goes to July 1 to at least understand what appetite there is for his services, but again, his priority would be to stay in Florida. The Panthers starting quarterback made it clear after the trade deadline that he wanted to stay in Florida. However, this is a business. Bobrovsky is 38 years old. Do the Panthers want to give him a four to five year contract? Is a two to three year contract better? Would the ideal contract be one-year deals with signing bonuses to help the Panthers with the cap?
The belief is that Bobrovsky and the Panthers will work something out. After all, it is negotiable. But as one source said, “It would be a shock if Bobrovsky arrived on July 1.”
Could he get something in the $6 million-$7 million range from AAV? It will be interesting to see how the Panthers and Sergei Bobrovsky do this. If they can't do it, should they look to move ninth overall for a goaltender? Connor Hellebuyck, Binington, or someone else?
