Off Campus Author Elle Kennedy Reveals Her Favorite Book Change

Off campus the writer Elle Kennedy revealed the evolution of his favorite book on the show – so far.
Kennedy took to TikTok on Saturday, May 23, to answer a question, which read, “Of all the changes that have happened to a TV show, which one is your favorite and why?”
In response, Kennedy said she prefers that “Justin is a musician” instead of an athlete.
“I think it makes a lot of sense,” he replied. “The fans loved Allie and Dean's JLo/maverick dance and had this intense vibe even before they connected (in the book the connection happened right off the bat).”
Based on- Off campus A sequel to Kennedy's book, the show follows an elite ice hockey team — and the women in their lives. Season 1 focuses on Hannah (Ela Brightand Garrett (Belmont Camel), but despite Logan (Antonio Cipriano) the following story based on the books, Dean (Stephen Kalyn) would come first and then Tucker (Jalen Thomas Brooks) at the end.
“I would hope that fans of the books will go into it with an open mind. The fandom of this series is usually good. They love these characters and they love this world,” Kennedy said. Us Weekly about shakeups on screen. “I just got back from a book tour and every stop was a constant joy.”
Kennedy was optimistic about the audience's reaction.
“I think they're going to like it,” he commented. “I hope that they will go into it knowing that some things have to change to adapt, but they will get the same feeling that they had when they read this book.”

“I wasn't involved in the day-to-day process. I wasn't in the writers' room, and I didn't have casting decisions,” Kennedy explained. Us. “I was able to read the scripts as they were being written, and I was able to, like, give feedback. And sometimes we get on Zoom with the show's producers because they enjoy the writer.”
He continued: “They said, 'What scenes or things do you know should be there?' They were working together in that sense. But in terms of final decisions, that was up to the creative team there. “
Without giving an answer, Kennedy told Us he had no “specific” requests about what should be done on the screen.
“I went into this knowing that they would have to change some things. It's all about adapting to it instead – especially because the book is written in the first person, so you get a lot of their thoughts. They have to find different ways to show it,” shared Kennedy. “I wanted to see the dynamic of the relationship captured. … I want to see the relationship. I want to see the characters in whatever situations they're in.”
