Football fans can now represent their countries at a high level.
With the World Cup fast approaching, global hat retailer Lids is tapping into the energy, identity and global passion surrounding the world's biggest sporting event, blending culture, fashion and sport.
New York Giants quarterback Jameis Winston helped Lids launch its “Wear Many Caps” campaign, which celebrates the multicultural spirit of the World Cup, honoring heritage, pride and personal style that sets fans apart, while also highlighting the shared love of a game that brings people together.

“I would never have dreamed that I would be working with a brand like Lids on one of the greatest sporting events of all time. I'm so grateful for it,” Winston told FOX Business in an exclusive interview.
“And my history as a baseball player — wearing the cap and how much the cap means to me and knowing that I get to inspire and encourage and invite others to come together and put their cap on to support their country in something bigger than I could ever dream of — man, it's great.”
With a range of World Cup gear, including host city t-shirts, national jerseys and hats, Lids is positioning itself as a destination for fans to once again honor their country, their city and their footballing glory all in one place.
Team caps are traditionally made for baseball, but as fashion has evolved, this year's World Cup caps are part of an ongoing evolution in fashion and style.

“Growing up in the South, there's a lot of different ways to wear a hat. It's like a thousand ways to cut a cat,” Winston said of his past. “You know, people used to wear hats sideways, backwards, a little bit over their heads, they couldn't see their eyes, you know. So, there's a lot of different ways to roll it.
“But I can't think of anything other than restoring your country,” he continued. “I just think how proud I was of, like, my kids. They're in baseball right now, and when they got their uniform hats, they were like, 'Oh, that's so cool.'
“One of my children has an afro. The other, you know, cut his hair, but even the difference in the way you wear a hat and the differences in each country, man, for Lids to give people, invite people to be proud and have a sense of integrity in what they represent is amazing.
“And I know that when we can come together and do something that we all love, we all love to represent. But it gives us that feeling of not being happy. For me, putting on that baseball cap that represents what I love. Man, it's great.”

And they believe the quarterback will use his Giants pull to try and get out of MetLife Stadium this summer.
“I've got to go and represent, man,” added Winston.
