Leafs Cleared of Interference, and Keys to Offseason for Bruins and Lightning

The league is looking into the concussion of the Toronto Maple Leafs and GM John Chayka
Frank Seravalli of hockey247: Multiple sources said at least one team has raised concerns with the NHL about the Toronto Maple Leafs, leading to Sunday's announcement to name John Chayka as the team's GM. There were concerns that the teams' staff were being contacted without permission as Chayka looked to replenish his staff.
The NHL notified Maple Leafs CEO and president Keith Pelley that they were investigating, and informed him after their investigation that they were satisfied with their findings.
Sources also say that the top candidate in their search was offered valuable advice by the Maple Leafs, but turned it down because he didn't want to work with Chayka.
There was speculation over the weekend that Chayka was interested in bringing LA Kings executive director of hockey, and former Coyotes employee Jake Goldberg to the Maple Leafs. Utah Mammoth manager of salary cap and hockey strategy Chase Glasberg, another name speculated over the weekend. Chase is the son of Neal Glasberg, whose agency conducted the Leafs' top search.

Keys to the Boston Bruins' offseason
ESPN's Ryan S. Clarke and Kristen Shilton: I look at the keys to the Boston Bruins' offseason.
Estimated cap: $16.4 million
2026 draft pick: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 4th (DET), 4th (TB), 7th
The Bruins have RFA forward Lukas Reichel and UFA forward Viktor Arvidsson to decide whether or not to re-sign. Arvidsson was one of four Bruins to score 25 or more goals. They will need to find six players in the middle to help with some offense, not just to bring energy.
Bruins GM Don Sweeney will also have to think long term as Casey Mittelstadt, Pavel Zacha and Sean Kuraly enter the final years of their contracts.
Another pending unrestricted free agent to consider is Mason Marchment, who brings a physical game and could score 20 goals.
NHL Rumors: The Dallas Stars, and the Edmonton Oilers
Keys to the Tampa Bay Lightning's offseason
ESPN's Ryan S. Clarke and Kristen Shilton: A look at the keys to the Tampa Bay Lightning's offseason.
Estimated cap: $13.6 million
2026 draft picks: 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 5th (SEA), 6th, 7th
Pending UFA defenseman Darren Raddysh will be the Lightning's biggest decision, coming off a season with 22 points and 70 points in 73 games.
The Lightning are starting to get up there in age, with defensemen Victor Hedman and Ryan McDonagh over 35, and Nikita Kucherov, Brayden Point, Jake Guentzel and Andrei Vasilevskiy in their 30s.
NHL Rumors: LA Kings, Utah Mammoth, and Pittsburgh Penguins
Lightning doesn't really have big holes. They've played a lot of hockey over the last decade, and has it gotten to them a little bit this year? Do they need to find some life to bring to the mix? Are they looking to bring in a potential UFA like Charlie Coyle or Alex Tuch?
