Man Utd are now discussing a deal to sign the int'l striker who has been compared to De Bruyne

Manchester United are now holding internal talks over signing Christian Pulisic this summer, as he enters the final 12 months of his AC Milan spell.

Man Utd discuss Pulisic move

It's a big summer for the Red Devils. The first thing on their list of priorities is finding a permanent manager. While Michael Carrick has done more than a commendable job as interim manager, names such as Andoni Iraola still threaten to steal the headlines – giving INEOS an important decision to make.

The second thing on their list will be to get reinforcements, picking up where they left off in the last summer transfer window by accepting an attacking addition. Last time it was Matheus Cunha, Benjamin Sesko and Bryan Mbeumo, but a year later it could be Pulisic.

The Red Devils plan their move…

According to TeamTalk, Man United are now discussing a deal to sign Pulisic from within and he already has a big fan like Christopher Vivell. Add in the fact that his current contract at AC Milan expires in 12 months and the deal seems to be working.

The American has been involved in 13 goals in all competitions so far this season, scoring 10 and assisting three more. It follows a superb campaign last season, in which he bagged 29 goals – highlighting how he has reached the peak of his powers.

De Bruyne-like Pulisic can end Man Utd's attack

While it's easy to think that Man United's attack is over, the potential addition of Champions League football next season means they could do with all the depth they can get. That's why going for Pulisic could be key.

The American certainly has a lot to prove in the Premier League, too, having failed to set the world on fire during his time at Chelsea. But, as many have pointed out before, failure at Chelsea does not mean failure elsewhere.

Christian Pulisic

It's something former Everton goalkeeper Tim Howard touched on when he compared De Bruyne to Pulisic before returning to England in the summer.

“I'll put him in the top class here… Kevin De Bruyne and Mohamed Salah, now we know the finished products. When I say those names, people will go, 'Huh? Those are two of the greatest players in the history of the Premier League', but I remember Kevin De Bruyne at Chelsea, I remember Mohamed Salah at Chelsea.

The former manager of AC Milan, Stefano Pioli, also did not hesitate to praise the player during his time at the club, calling him “brilliant”. If that, and Howard's decision, is anything to go by then Man United must act.
