Mormon Wives' Mikayla Talks About Season 5 Production Pause

Secret Lives of Mormon Wives' Mikayla Matthews deals with the temporary suspension of production of the show.
Filming on season 5 was recently halted following a domestic dispute involving Taylor Frankie Paul and his ex, Dakota Mortensenmany stores reported earlier this week.
On Wednesday, March 18, a fan asked Mikayla, 26, on her Instagram Stories if production was “on hold?”
Mikayla replied, “It was a decision that all of us girls came up with and agreed on.”
The Draper City Police Department in Utah confirmed that Us Weekly Monday, March 16, that a “domestic assault investigation” was ongoing regarding an incident involving Taylor, 31, and Dakota, 33, last month. The police department said “allegations were made on both sides.”
Taylor and Dakota's relationship has been a hot topic on Hulu Secret Lives of Mormon Wiveswhich premiered in September 2024 and recently launched its fourth season.

Taylor talked about the production halt of season 5 during an interview with ABC Good Morning America on Wednesday.
“I don't call it production highlights … as far as I know it was [paused]but I don't know how long it will be,” he said.
When asked about his future on the show, the TikTok promoter said it was “hard to see” beyond the turmoil in his life right now.
“When your life is covered in these headlines, it's like the end of the world. That's what it feels like, I'm not going to lie,” she said. “But I will say, I've been here before and finished it and told my story … so I hope I can do that again.”
Taylor's season of The Bachelorette will premiere on Sunday, March 22. The reality TV star said the recent news about her and Dakota has somewhat overshadowed her latest acting role.
“To be honest, it's been a difficult time to see the headlines, especially at this time The Bachelorette release,” he said, “It should be a really exciting time. I'm someone who will always speak my truth, that's what I'm known for, so when the time is right, I will be. But for now, I'm just trying to be in the moment and focus on this. My kids come first… it's been stressful, to be honest.”
Dakota representative said Entertainment Weekly On Wednesday, “His priority here is defense [their son]Ever,” adding that he “knew it was possible” that news of the alleged domestic dispute “could come out, but he wouldn't be the one to do that because he always wanted a good relationship with Taylor. It was really difficult to achieve that, but you want to get to know each other well.”
