Jason Robertson Trade Options, and Minnesota Wild Trade Target

Two types of trade options for the Dallas Stars and Jason Robertson
Robert Tiffin on Star Thoughts: The Dallas Stars apparently need to create salary cap space to re-sign pending RFA Jason Robertson. They would like to re-sign Robertson. If they feel they can't sign Robertson to something big, they may have to look to trade him.
Another option with Robertson would be to trade him for a similar, established player – ie, Brady Tkachuk, Dylan Larkin, William Nylander, or Robert Thomas. He may not be there, if he is there those teams may want the Stars to taste the pot.
The second trade option would be the trade of Mikko Rantanen, a young player with upside and draft picks. Danger for Stars as they are in winning mode now. Someone like Matthew Knies or Mason McTavish wouldn't have given the Stars what Robertson gave them.
NHL Rumors: Kings, Oilers, Jets, Devils, Blues, Panthers, Stars, and Flames
In order to re-sign him, they will have to release some salary. They will probably need to take out a salary anyway.
Top trade options going forward for the Minnesota Wild to explore
Michael Russo and Joe Smith of The Athletic: Trade assets include Jesper Wallstedt, Danila Yurov, Bobby Brink, Daemon Hunt, Charlie Stramel, Hunter Haight, Riley Heidt, Adam Benak, and future first-round picks.
Ryan Hartman, Joel Eriksson Ek and Jared Spurgeon have 10 no-trades. Marcus Foligno and Jake Middleton have 15-team no-trade clauses that turn into no-moves on July 1st. Jonas Brodin, Nico Sturm and Yakov Trenin are defenseless.
It is not easy to find centers or players in the top six. They don't offer Brock Faber, Matt Boldy or Kirill Kaprizov. Who should at least call the Wild?
Auston Matthews (Maple Leafs) – If the Leafs are asking for Jesper Wallstedt, it seems like they can handle that market.
Jack Hughes and Nico Hischier (Devils) – Reunite the Hughes brothers in Minnesota and not New Jersey. Sources say the Wild tried to sign Luke Hughes last season. New Devils GM Sunny Mehta is unlikely to trade Jack. Hischier is eligible for an extension, and if they get the idea he won't extend, maybe they're exploring the trade market.
Dylan Larkin (Red Wings) – Five years left at $8.7 million. He will be 30 years old at the start of next season. Can he give up his trade if he wants to change location?
Robert Thomas (Blues) – The Blues rejected a trade package for Wallstedt and Yurov at the deadline. Five years left at $8.125 million.
Brady Tkachuk (Senators) – A winger not a center, but can drive the game. Two years left at $8.2 million.
NHL rumors: Minnesota Wild, Winnipeg Jets, and Florida Panthers
Vincent Trocheck (Rangers) – Sources say the deadline day asking price was tight. Three years left at $5.625 million. The Wild probably wouldn't give up Wallstedt for him.
