The ranks of the Rangers board are broken as five issues with Rohl emerge

Celtic's defeat on Sunday left some Rangers board members questioning Danny Rohl's future at the club, with five key players.
The Rangers board is divided over Rohl's future
On paper, firing Rohl at this stage would seem incredibly cruel. The German is yet to manage a full season at Ibrox and succeeds a still-shaking squad in place of Russell Martin. On the pitch, however, it would be a season without silverware for the Gers – something that did not match their high standards.
Hearts' defeats were painful last season, but none will be as unbearable as Sunday's 3-1 defeat at the hands of Celtic in the Old Firm derby.
It's given the 49ers a lot to think about, it seems. According to TeamTalk, the Rangers board have five major talking points to consider regarding Rohl's future, with 'sections' of the board supporting the German and others raising doubts.
Those who doubt his quality as a manager are reported to be concerned about recent performances, the team's development under Rohl, the lack of progress in Europe, the style of his football and their selection to match it.
Worse than Antman: The Ranger star who passed 40% doesn't have to restart
The Rangers player is not expected to start either of the final two games of the season for the Ibrox giants.
Another practical concern. Rangers' recruitment has not improved since the manager's arrival, although it is a small sample in January. To sum it up, it looks like talented loanee Andreas Skov Olsen will not be joining on a permanent deal, despite his arrival with high expectations.
Whether some of the concerns are serious enough to cost Rohl his job at this point is up for debate, however, as the 49ers ponder a major decision.
The Rangers should stick with Rohl despite the results
It was always foolish to think that Rohl could pick up the scraps left by Martin and build a title-winning team. The former Sheffield Wednesday manager deserves credit for turning his image into a three-horse race, even if it doesn't end with silverware for those at Ibrox.
If he had enjoyed a full season, the results would have been very different. As it stands, the 49ers should stick with their man next season and wait for results.
Hiring concerns can be addressed by all stakeholders, not just the manager. And, as that evolves, so the style of play may follow any European progress.
Rohl called for more intensity from his players after the recent performance. There were signs of that intensity throughout the campaign, although it wouldn't add up overnight.
As much as some on the Rangers board have their concerns, sticking with what they have is their best option this summer.
