Marco Rubio becomes Secretary of Everything is a multi-role meme

“If you want something done, ask a busy man,” is a famous phrase attributed to polymath Founding Father Benjamin Franklin and comic icon Lucille Ball. But if you're looking for a living expression of that credo today, look no further than Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
Most of the time politicians are praised for their talk but no action. We have seen many politicians at all levels of government do very little, or worse, do their job so poorly that the results hurt our country.
However, Rubio flipped the script on that idea. In fact, he has become a meme not because of inactivity, but instead of being effective not only in one job, but in various other roles given to him along with his position as Secretary of State.
There may be nothing on the internet that is healthy today as Rubio is becoming famous for being good at his job.

At one point during the past year, Rubio held four positions at once, bringing attention to his hard-working nature and successful results. As a candidate for not only secretary of state, but also national security adviser, as well as temporary roles as acting administrator of USAID before the completion of the record and acting archivist of the United States, it seems that whenever there is a role to be filled, Rubio's name comes up, because he includes a busy and successful politician who can get the job.
Rubio's performance has become a source of adorable memeing across social media. Whenever there's a job to fill, whether it's a CEO vacancy, an open position at a major sports team or even the ruler of another nation, X (formerly Twitter), Facebook and other social media platforms are flooded with mockery of Rubio in the role.
Giving the Internet even more fodder, Rubio has been on the rise again after a recent video shared by Trump's Deputy Chief of Staff Dan Scavino showed him DJing and changing tunes at a family wedding, prompting hilarious comments, including those calling Rubio “The Secretary of Everything.”

Another recent post by X-user and filmmaker @charliebcurran included a video trailer titled “Marco Rubio finds out he has to run Spirit Airlines now,” a humorous short that shows Rubio trying to save the now-defunct airline, complete with the ensuing controversy.
The internet may be laughing, but they are casting Rubio as a savior, a position that should serve him well if he chooses to run for president in 2028.

Politicians are often known for scandals, bad policy, gaslighting, and hot air. It's refreshing and surprising for a politician to be known as the guy you want to turn to when you need to get a job done.
We deserve more Rubios in our representation. In the meantime, we'll look forward to seeing what real or imagined work Marco Rubio will do next.
