Witney Carson Reveals Why She Missed DWTS Tour Utah Stop

Whitney Carson revealed the reason why he was not there Dancing with the Stars travel destination in Utah.
“Utah peeps. SORRY I WILL NOT be able to attend the Utah shows. Steve Irwin Gala performance with Robert [Irwin] booked last year,” Carson, 32, wrote on her Instagram Story on Saturday, May 2. “If I could be in two places at once I would be! I love you so much!!”
Carson went on to share a few clips from the Steve Irwin Gala, which she attended with husband Carson McAllister and their two children: sons Leo, 5, and Jet, 2. The event honors the legacy of the late wildlife expert and conservationist, who died in 2006 after being mauled by a stingray while filming a documentary on the Great Barrier Reef.
“At the Steve Irwin Gala tonight we are supporting our beloved family!” she wrote on her Instagram Story on Saturday. “It's an honor to be here.”
Carson joined DWTS visit as a special guest from April 21 to 30 with my former partner and champion of the 34th season of Mirrorball Robert, 22.
“Our last dance, that freestyle, was our way of saying thank you to everyone who was on that trip,” said Robert. Good Morning America in November 2025, referring to his freestyle program. “We just knew we had to make it work because it was a way for us to just say, 'We're so grateful for this experience.'”
For Carson, the win felt “very different” this time. (The professional dancer took his first Mirrorball Trophy with the manager now Alfonso Ribeiro in 2014.)
“The first time I won, I was 19 years old — and now I'm 32,” Carson said at the time. “I have children now, and celebrating with them and my husband was very special.”
As the season ended, ABC announced that the competition will return in season 35 with celebrities who will compete in the competition. Ciara Miller again Maura Higgins. Robert will also host the spinoff show Dancing with the Stars: The Next Prowith the goal of finding the next professional dancer for the main stream. Pro Mark Ballas and his mother, Shirley Ballaswill also join the series – which premieres this summer – as a judge.
“Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro features 12 budding dancers who move into the same house and compete in a grueling audition process,” the log line read.[They are] all are fighting for the coveted spot as a professional dancer in season 35 of Dancing with the Stars.”
